Many local charities have been 'adopted' by the pupils, both as House and Form projects. Fund-raising events take place throughout the year and are enthusiastically supported by staff and pupils.
Our collections at Harvest Festival each year are donated to Step-by-Step, an Aldershot-based charity which offers support and accommodation to homeless youngsters in the area or to the local Foodbank.
Farnborough Hill has a longstanding connection with Parkside, the Mencap Centre in Aldershot and in recent years, members of Year 11 have been working with the handicapped children during the summer play scheme on a voluntary basis. Sixth Form girls also have the opportunity to work at Saturday Club during term time and there are usually some that do. They attend training prior to this.
Other examples of volunteering done by the pupils include work with local charity, Disability Challengers and pilgrimages to Lourdes with the HCPT.
Pupils are involved in local schools in a number of ways including music workshops, Latin club, Half Energy Day presentations, public speaking workshops, drama performances for primary and prep schools and historical visits to the School.
Each year in the summer term we invite children from local primary schools to take part in the 'Buzz Club' enabling them to benefit from the teachers and facilities available at Farnborough Hill.
Farnborough Hill is very aware of its responsibility to minimise the impact it has on the environment. Several green initiatives have been implemented recently, often spearheaded by the pupils themselves.

- Food Recycling
