‘The Year 7 Performance this year was so much fun and I felt it really brought the whole year group together in the form of music. Thank you to the music teachers that believed in me and gave me this role. I loved it so much and I cannot wait until the whole school play next year."
Year 7 Pupil
Over 15 choirs, orchestras and chamber ensembles rehearse each week, providing girls with the opportunity to enjoy a range of musical experiences and to take part in a busy programme of internal and external performances. Annual events include the vibrant Christmas Celebration and the wide-ranging Musical Soirées. Another highlight is the biennial Easter Concert when a major choral work is performed by a choir of girls, staff, parents and friends with the accompaniment of a professional orchestra.
In addition to providing the music for School liturgy, the Senior Choir undertakes a foreign tour every two years (most recently to Barcelona and Tarragona) and regularly sings Choral Evensong at major British cathedrals including St Paul's, Salisbury and Guildford as well as St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
