Open Morning

We were delighted to welcome parents, friends and families into school on Saturday 11 May 2019 for our annual Open Morning.   This is a fantastic opportunity to give an insight into what goes on in the School every working day.  All were welcome to sample the open lessons and rehearsals, Science and Sport demonstrations, Drama workshops and IT practicals.

Experiments, language skills, creativity, problem solving, orienteering and discussions were all on show and the girls clearly loved taking their families around.  The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award team were demonstrating expedition equipment and there was even a guided tour of the Solar System, which had been set up, to scale, in the grounds by the Physics Department.  Fascinating stuff!

In the middle of the morning, everyone was invited to the Chapel for a beautiful service of readings, prayers and hymns.  The girls benefit from liturgies like this on a regular basis in school and it is lovely to be able to share this experience with their families.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to the staff and girls who worked so hard to make this a special day.
