Easter Concert 2023

Easter Concert 2023

On Wednesday 22 March, ensembles from across the School came together to share some fantastic music in our much-loved Easter Concert.  The variety and enthusiasm of all of the performances was enjoyed by all, and the hard-work of our musicians shone through.

The Orchestra’s Pirates of the Caribbean was great fun to hear (complete with pirate accessories), and Swing Band entertained with a popular ABBA medley.

Abigail (U6SUT) says "I really appreciated the opportunity to accompany Flute Choir, one of our smaller ensembles: the development of younger pupils’ ensemble skills is clear and it was a brilliant opportunity for some to experience a more exposed environment."

The Year 7 and Junior Choirs sang beautifully, before coming together with Senior Choir for a rendition of A Little Jazz Mass.  We thank Mr Vincent and Mr Veitch for their super drum and bass guitar accompaniments, bringing one of everyone's favourite songs to life.

The School appreciate the hard work and enthusiasm of Dr Taylor, Miss Warwick and Ms Fielder and thank them for hosting a wonderful musical evening.

At the end of the evening, there was a collection for the organisations which some students will volunteer with on their trip to Borneo this summer.  We thank everyone for their generous support and are incredibly excited that these donations will make a significant difference.
