F'Hill Challenge Evening 2023

F'Hill Challenge Evening 2023

On Tuesday 7 February, while their parents ate delicious canapes and enjoyed civilized conversation with each other and staff, the Class of 2030 ran riot through the Old House completing a series of challenges to help them build friendships and introduce them to the joy of a Farnborough Hill education.

Hosted by Year 9 and 10 challenge masters and guided by sixth formers, each team of Year 6s competed against the clock and the other teams to complete a series of six challenges, from building a Lego tower upon which they could balance a bee to seeing how many words they could make from the letters in ‘Wholeheartedly’ (over 800!).

The evening ended with copious amounts of hot chocolate and a mountain of cookies and, of course, the big reveal of the winners, the Lime team, who were rewarded with a much-coveted Farnborough Hill teddy each.  A huge thank you to the Years 9, 10 and Sixth Form (and our honorary Year 8!) who joyfully gave up their time to host the Year 6s.  A huge amount of fun was had by all!
