Old Girl Lucy Lyons Publishes First Book

This week, we were excited to welcome back Old Girl, Lucy Lyons (1987).  Lucy kindly took part in one of our new Career events, ‘Insight into…’.  These sessions are for smaller groups of pupils, who have signed up prior to attending the session, and allows for more Q&A and informal conversation around a specific career area.  

In Lucy’s session, Insight into Authorship, Lucy discussed her recently published novel, The Finding Machine, her career to date and how to write a great novel.  The group discussed their own work and plot lines, genres and how to develop characters.

Lucy also recreated a photograph from the 1989 School magazine, when she spent many days labouring over an incredibly impressive A1 drawing of our tower, which was then printed in the magazine.
