On Thursday 9 February, Year 7 visited Kew Gardens (formally known as Royal Botanical Gardens) on an Art trip. As many of the girls have never been to Kew Gardens, they were curious to know what it would entail. They are happy to report it was an exciting and enlightening trip. The Year Group explored the massive grounds and went into some interesting buildings such as the Lush Temperate House, the Marianne North gallery.
During their visit they took photos and sketched with inspiration from the plants, paintings and the botanical gardens. Not only did the pupils learn new ways of drawing but also a few things about plants too! Now that they have visited Kew Gardens and had the experience of such a beautiful, informative and enjoyable place, the girls will be recommending the visit to their friends and families.
