Year 8's Retreat Day on Looking After Spiritual Well-being and Fellow Pupils

Year 8's Retreat Day on Looking After Spiritual Well-being and Fellow Pupils

On Friday 27 January, Year 8 had our Retreat day, during which we learnt about looking after our spiritual well-being and our fellow pupils. We had this day off timetable to understand our inner selves through activities such as decorating masks, spending time doing mindful colouring, listening to relaxing music and reflecting on our attitude and hobbies. We learnt more about each other and also wrote positive comments.

We were able to explore the grounds as we walked through the school's woodland. We had many people from Year 10 and Lower Sixth come to talk to us about our options for GCSEs, co-curriculars, the ups and downs of friendships and navigating school life. Thank you to all of the girls who took part in telling us about their experiences and how they revised. Also, thank you to the Year 10 girls who helped us in our quiz on Farnborough Hill knowledge to gain points.

The Year Group had a Liturgy to end the day of reflection. Prayers were written and delivered by each of us and it was a really joyful celebration.

Overall we had a lovely day reflecting on ourselves and spending time as a Year Group. Thank you to Mrs Harrison and Mrs Dalton for putting it all together.
