A cheque for £1000 was presented to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice during Assembly on Monday 23 January 2017. This was raised through sales of 'Apple Heaven', apple juice produced from the orchard in our grounds. Ms Leanne Magee, Community Fundraiser from the Hospice, thanked everyone involved in the production, sale and distribution of Apple Heaven and showed a short film to the school illustrating the important work carried out by this wonderful local charity.
A big thank you to everyone who supported this venture including Mrs Chapman, Years 7 and 8 for picking the apples, the grounds team, Maggie and the senior girls who organised distribution of the juice and all those who bought a bottle or two. Some of those involved are pictured with Ms Magee below.
