Artist Visit
On Monday 16th November, textile artist KirstyWhitlock visited the Art Department and spent the day discussing her work andrunning workshops in the use of recycled plastic and paper for the senior artstudents. Everyone went away with at least two samples and had the opportunityto chat about being a self-employed artist and her route post A Level. Kirsty’s collage and distressing techniques linked very well with the recent tripto the Royal Academy of Art where they looked at the work of artists JosephCornell and Ai Wei Wei.
