We are very proud of 59 Year 10 girls who successfully completed their assessed expedition over the weekend of 10-11 June 2017. This achievement takes them a step closer to gaining their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.
After an early start at Farnborough Hill, the girls were driven down to the New Forest to embark on the expedition – 2 days of unaccompanied walking and camping overnight, carrying all their food and equipment. The 9 groups started from 3 different locations and navigated their way to Acres Down campsite. Their navigational skills were put to the test, however all the groups eventually made it into camp in good spirits. The weather was beautiful and day two ended with 59 very tired, sore but happy girls. Well done to them all and thank you to the team of staff who supported them!
