Christmas Celebration

Christmas Celebration

Our many different musical groups and ensembles performed for a packed audience last Friday night.  Christmas was truly celebrated with carols, seasonal music and drama, showcasing our talented students and providing a very entertaining evening.  Music ranged from jazz from the Swing Band, Jazz Quartet and Saxophone Ensemble; choral numbers from Junior Choir, Senior Choir and the Farnborough Hill Singers; instrumental pieces from Orchestra, Wind Band, Flute Choir, Brass Ensemble, String Group and Recorder Consort.  Drama excerpts from P. G. Wodehouse were wonderfully performed and very funny and audience participation in the communal carols was particularly impressive and enthusiastic.

A big thank you to the Music Department - Dr Taylor, Mr McSweeney and Miss Warwick and the Drama Department - Mrs Robinson and Mrs Winch-Johnson and all the other members of staff who helped behind the scenes.  Many thanks also to the Friends of Farnborough Hill who provided very welcome refreshments.

The retiring collection for the Cardinal Hume Centre raised £717.20.  Thank you to all the audience who contributed so generously.
