Christmas Service

Christmas Service

The Christmas Term ended today with a beautiful and moving service in Chapel organised by the Lower Sixth students.  It included readings, prayers and music.  All the form prayer intentions were prayed for with each one represented by a helium balloon in the shape of a star. This was a particularly creative and uplifting way to do the prayers and the Chapel looked stunning.

Beautiful singing from the Senior Choir included Rutter's Candlelight Carol, Gaudete and O Holy Night. The theme was 'Follow that Star' which is both seasonal and also reminds us of a favourite phrase of Mr Schofield, much-loved Physics teacher and former Head of Year for the current Lower Sixth, who died in 2014: 'You are all stars literally'.

Well done Lower Sixth and Happy Christmas to all our students, staff and their families.
