Congratulations Beth!

Congratulations Beth!

Talented Year 12 student, Beth, has been awarded an Associate Diploma in Musical Theatre Performance from the London College of Music.  She achieved a stunning 94 out of a possible total of 100 (well over the pass mark of 75) and is now qualified to teach.  The process of musical theatre exams begins with grades 1 to 8, followed by the Diploma (which Beth achieved in Year 10), Associate Diploma, Licentiate Diploma and finally the Fellowship Diploma.

Anyone who has heard the Senior Choir recently will know that Beth has a beautiful singing voice as she often takes on soprano solos for the choir.  However, this demanding Diploma also required her to act and dance, demonstrating her all-round performing talent.  This will be put into good practice in our forthcoming production of 'Barnum' when she will be playing the opera singer, Jenny Lind.  Something definitely not to be missed!

When asked how she felt about the Diploma, Beth said: "When I got the result I was hoping I'd passed but I was absolutely thrilled to get 94/100!"

We are very proud of Beth's achievement and look forward to following her progress in the future.
