Congratulations to our Equestrian Team who competed in the Inter-Schools Regional Points League for Show Jumping at Sparsholt College on Saturday 16 October 2016. The team comprised of Chloe (11α) pictured above left on Sam and Pip (9ω) pictured above right on Rocky.

The team used the 80cm class as a ‘warm up’ and while both combinations jumped lovely rounds they each knocked a pole down and each incurred four faults.
The event was really popular with many different schools taking part and our girls had to wait a long time for their turn in the next class which was 90cm. Chloe and Sam have only been a partnership for three months and Sam is quite young and green, and they jumped another lovely round but had two unlucky poles down so incurred 8 faults. Pip and Rocky (who have been together for a lot longer) jumped a confident clear round in a quick time thanks to some sharp turns and succeeded in winning the class for Farnborough Hill! With over 50 entries in that class it was an excellent achievement!
Pip and Rocky stayed to compete in the 1 metre class (their first ever at that height) and although it was much smaller with only 14 entries, they jumped a steady clear round and came second!
