Farewell Year 13

Farewell Year 13

On Friday 27 May 2016 we said a very fond 'farewell' to Year 13 as they celebrated their final day of lessons before study leave and A level exams which started straight after half term.

The day began with a special breakfast of pastries, strawberries and bucks fizz shared with sixth form staff.  This was a chance to say goodbye and thank you to staff who have worked very closely with the girls over the past few years and have seen them develop into capable young women ready to make their mark in the world.

At the end of the day, the whole school attended assembly led by Year 13.  Tributes were paid to them by Mrs Buckle and Miss Sexton.  They have been a fantastic year group who have contributed to many aspects of school life including drama, sport and debating.  They have embraced opportunities with great enthusiasm as well as being dedicated, hard-working and level-headed students.  The girls, ably led by outgoing Head Girl, Millie (13HAD) thanked all the staff, with gifts for everyone and witty and thoughtful comments about each department.  This well organised assembly ended in the traditional way with a photo montage on the big screen sharing many happy memories of this year group's time at Farnborough Hill.

Of course, this is not quite 'goodbye' and the girls now have to sit their A levels and we wish them good luck with their revision and every success in the examinations ahead.
