Film Launch

We were excited to release a new promotional film on Monday 11 September 2017, entitled 'There is a Badge' produced over the last year that looks to tell the story of daily life beyond exam results.  In a time of scrutinised league tables and increased pressure on schools and young people alike, this film talks about the human qualities that the school looks to instil in its girls alongside high academic achievement.  We hear that there is “…no assessment for tenacity…” and “…no measure for tolerance…” in the short film, which uses girls from the school as the actors that bring the story alive.

The idea of being ‘more than a set of results’ is becoming more and more popular with both top universities and employers who are looking for exciting young talent in the modern workplace.  The school is clearly proud not only of our results, but of the character of the young women we produce.

The film has been created alongside multi-award-winning production company Affixxius Films, who specialise in work for schools all over the world.  Managing Partner, Miles Latham, said, “The film project with Farnborough Hill has been a joy to produce and we are very proud of the end result.  Most importantly, it really does tell a story of a really high-achieving school and shows the girls in their best light, which was always our aim.”

We will use the film as the centrepiece of our new marketing image in the local area.  Mrs Neil said, “The film encapsulates exactly what makes Farnborough Hill so special – our vision of education and valuing each individual shines through. We are a school community proud of our heritage yet absolutely committed to preparing our girls for the 21st century world. We do this through fostering timeless qualities such as compassion, tenacity and team spirit.”
