On the Friday afternoon before Half Term (29 October 2015) we held a quiz with a difference for Years 7-10. Traditionally the House Quiz has been fought by three teams from each house with most of the other house members cheering the teams on from the audience. This year a new format was introduced with everyone involved in small teams working together and all contributing to the final outcome. The Quiz took place in two venues - the Hall (Years 8 & 9) and the Theatre on the Hill (Years 7 and 10 - an opportunity for 'aunties' and 'nieces' to work together). With the House Captains acting as brilliant quiz masters some of the usual rounds of questions where still there, including the Guess the Teacher round and the film round, this year the film being ‘The Karwashians’ starring many familiar faces! New rounds included Geography, a connections round and famous sportswomen as well as a table round to be answered during the whole quiz. Also, for the first time, refreshments were provided. Everyone had a lot of fun and enjoyed a very close contest.
The results were announced in Assembly on Monday 9 November 2015 as follows:
The two individual winning teams were the 'Red Pineapples' from Fisher House (Years 7 & 10) and the 'Big Beefy Barneys' from More House (Years 8 & 9).
