Junior Prizegiving is always a lovely way to end the year, and this year was no exception. We had the opportunity to honour girls for their contributions to the life of their forms and the wider school community as well as celebrating success and achievement in all academic subjects, Sport, Art, Design and Technology, Music and Drama. A first for us this year was to also celebrate the achievements of our Academic, Sports and Art Scholars who will be joining us in Year 7 this coming September, and one thing that occurred for the last time this year was the House prizes being awarded for Becket, Campion, Fisher, Howard and More for, as Mrs Alexandra Neil explained in her speech, thanks to the girls of the Social Justice Club, next year we will be awarding House prizes to Mostyn, McCormack, Dutertre, Bickford and Roantree.
This name change was just one aspect of the year that was noted in the speeches made by Mrs Neil, Mrs Laura Evans-Jones (Head of Year 7), Mrs Colleen Swire (Hear of Year 8) and Mrs Emily Harrison (Head of Year 9) who all spoke of their pride in the girls and the breadth of their achievements and activities.
Prizewinners and their parents celebrated their success together afterwards with refreshments in the glorious sunshine on the Cloister Lawn.
