On Friday 27 April we saw the culmination of a large amount of hard work as Farnborough Hill pupils welcomed all of the boys and girls of St Bernadette’s Year 5 to record their Hymn to St Teresa.
At the end of last term, the pupils from St Bernadette’s, ably assisted by six of our Lower Sixth, wrote the lyrics for the hymn, based on the life and works of Mother Teresa. These were set to music by members of Year 9 and then recorded using the wonderful facilities available in St Cecilia’s. The session was a huge amount of fun but also very focused and all of the students involved, about eighty in total, are to be commended on their contribution.
The finished recording is now available in School and we are very proud of what this collaborative project has achieved.
Thank you to Director of Music, Dr Ian Taylor and all the other staff from Farnborough Hill and St Bernadette's who worked to hard to make this project a success.
