Old Girls from as early as 1940 and as far away as Australia gathered with their families on Saturday 16 September 2017 to celebrate the bicentenary of the foundation of the Religious Of Christian Education with six of their members.
Sister Mary Dawson (Head Mistress in the 70s) flew over from Ireland to open the event. She had not attended an Old Girls event since the 80s and was completely overcome by the number of Old Girls she knew who attended especially to see her again.
There were activities around the school in Science, Drama, Art and Music, games and a face painter for the younger children, a scrumptious tea, a cello recital and a special Thanksgiving Service with tributes about the Sisters from Old Girls across the years which left the Community feeling very much appreciated and loved.
Thanks must go to Gill Chapman who masterminded the occasion, the Farnborough Hill Old Girls' Association Committee, pupils, staff and other helpers for all their hard work on the day and Mrs Griffiths for the fabulous cake.
