Community Spirit is something that we at Farnborough Hill pride ourselves on, and our Senior Citizens Christmas Party was a shining example of the connection between our school and the wider community. On Tuesday 6 December 2016, senior citizens from the local community, along with Father Tony and the Sisters, joined us at school for an afternoon of festive entertainment. The Grand Salon and its magnificent Christmas tree provided the backdrop for a wonderful programme of entertainment, performed by singers and musicians from Year 9 and Year 12. The audience needed no encouragement to join in with the carol singing, and the atmosphere was one of enjoyment and festivity.
After the entertainment, the guests enjoyed afternoon tea in the refectory, served by school council representatives from Year 7 through to Sixth Form. A Christmas gift was also presented to each guest at the end of the afternoon, and fun was had by all.
