Mrs Jackson reports on the Sri Lanka Netball and Hockey Tour 13 - 22 July 2015:
The 10 day Sports Tour to Sri Lanka in the summer holidays was a great success. Girls from Year 9 upwards represented the school in both netball and hockey. Each match was played with passion and pride, so it was no surprise to learn that the girls won the majority of their netball matches and all of their hockey matches. In addition, the girls visited a local junior school where they were entertained by Sri Lankan dancers. Our girls reciprocated with a dance and a FH song, quickly rehearsed on the coach! Our girls also visited a temple, an elephant orphanage, a spice garden, a tea factory and some more traditional dancing. The girls were a credit to the school and we thank the staff involved for giving them this wonderful opportunity to experience the culture and sport in a different country.
