Friday 22 June saw a celebration of sport and participation at our Inter-House Sports afternoon in our fabulous School grounds. Teams from each of the Houses (Becket in orange, Campion in blue, Fisher in red, Howard in yellow and More in purple) competed in whole series of track and field events including sprints, hurdles, high jump, long jump, discus, javelin and shot put. The afternoon ended with closely-fought relays for mixed years and staff v Sixth Form and finally the legendary staff v Sixth Form tug of war. Results of all the races will be added to the House Point total and will be announced during our final Assembly on the last day of term.
The sun shone and a spirit of friendly competition pervaded the afternoon, further enhanced by the very welcome presence of many family and friends amongst the spectators. Sixth formers selling ice creams to raise funds for their expedition to Borneo this summer and the fantastic samba band provided by the Music Department all added to the festive atmosphere.
The afternoon was rounded off for many with a visit to the Art & Design Exhibition showcasing the creative work of our talented GCSE and A level Art, Photography and Design & Technology students.
