World Book Day

World Book Day

We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday 9 March 2018, a week late following the snow days of the previous week. It is clear that Farnborough Hill girls (and staff) love to dress up and the school was buzzing with fantasy fiction characters such as Gandalf, Goldilocks and the three bears, Professors Trelawny and McGonigal, Maleficent, Puck and more. Best costumes were nominated from each form and judged in the Library at break-time. At lunch-time in the Library, girls had the opportunity to browse through donated second-hand books and there were some excellent books on offer. Delicious home-made cakes and cookies were also on sale.

Thank you to everyone for their generosity for the mufti day and the sales in the Library. All funds raised will go to the David Hoyle Foundation. Thank you to all who took part for the imaginative costumes and a special thanks to Mrs Wilson (Assistant Librarian) who planned and organised the day.
