Year 10 had the chance to sample life as sixth formers for two 'Taster Days' this week (20 and 21 June 2016). They sampled 5 or 6 different A level lessons including some brand new subjects such as Psychology and Economics. In addition they had an enrichment session, trying out Bollywood dancing, cooking, radio production, music or yoga. During their free periods and breaks they enjoyed sixth form perks such as use of the Common Room and Flats and freedom to leave the site.
Feedback from the students about the two days was overwhelmingly positive with many wishing that the taster days had gone on longer! Lucky for them, it is only a year away before they can experience 'Sixth Form on the Hill' for real!
Thank you to all the teachers for their inspirational lessons and to Mr McCready, Head of Sixth Form, for masterminding the two days.
