Year 7 Visit to Hindu Temple

On Tuesday 20 February 2018, Year 7 girls took an exciting trip to the Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Neasden, London.  Veda (7W) reported on the day: ‘The view outside was beautiful, it had the most detailed carvings I have ever seen! Everyone had their mouth open wide as they entered the building. It made you feel calm and peaceful as you took off your shoes as a sign of respect and were guided into a massive hall for an introduction and then had to go up some stairs to the grand prayer room. We had to sit down silently as the Hindu prayers were said. We had some time to roam around and had to answer some questions on a worksheet. After that, we went to lunch and finally went to a little exhibition to learn about Hindu history. Finally, we came back to school. We had so much fun, it was one of my favourite trips in my entire lifetime!’
