Year 10 Explores the Sixth Form Journey

With Assessment Week officially in the rearview mirror, Year 10 has spent the last two days looking ahead to sixth form on the hill. This introductory experience gave the girls a brilliant snapshot of the academic pathways and personal development opportunities heading their way. 

A major highlight for the Year Group was connecting with our current sixth formers, who gave honest advice about balancing studies and enrichment options. They looked a little further down the road, demystifying the university application process with an introduction to UCAS and expanded their academic horizons with taster lessons for subjects new to their timetable, including Psychology, Politics, Photography, Business and Economics. 

Community spirit was also high on the agenda; during an interactive RE-Act session, the girls discovered the charity projects led by the Lower Sixth, sparking plenty of brilliant ideas for their own future outreach. 

Base camp for their experience was the Lafosse Sixth Form Centre, where the girls quickly adopted the ultimate Sixth Form tradition: unwinding with cookies during their free periods. The independence, friendly culture, and sense of opportunity has given Year 10 plenty of reasons to look forward to the future.
