Year 9 Hosts Action-Packed Empower Day for Visiting Year 4s

Earlier this week, the energy levels in school reached a new high as we hosted our annual, award-winning Empower Day. We were thrilled to welcome nearly 130 Year 4 children for a vibrant, fun-filled day powered entirely by our brilliant Year 9 pupils.

Year 9 have spent the year designing a series of interactive and exciting workshops for our young visiting guests to rotate around. From hands-on challenges to creative problem-solving, the children had plenty to keep them busy! When they weren't occupied in the workshops, the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring and playing in our historic school grounds, making the very most of the open spaces and summer sunshine.

Leading these sessions and mentoring younger children has taught our own Year 9 pupils many invaluable lessons, most importantly leadership.
