The Farnborough Hill Friends is our parents' association, and we are very grateful to have them! The events they organise help strengthen the school community and bring families together on occasions such as the beautifully festive Christmas Market; ‘Cinema on the Hill’ in the summer and the spectacular October fireworks.
One of the first Friends’ events in the calendar each year is exclusively for our new Year 7 parents: the Thrill on the Hill. It is a chance for our parents to get to know other new parents, while also having a good time and getting into the Farnborough Hill spirit. Because, we know, it’s not just your daughter who is part of our school!
The funds raised by the Farnborough Hill Friends are used to buy the fabulous extras that can really enhance a pupil’s experience. Outdoor gazebos for special events and sporting fixtures, solid wooden outdoor benches for breaktime on the Hill, carnival costumes for a community event, puppets for RE, pasta makers and smoothie makers for Food, the list goes on. Perhaps the most exciting purchase to date has been much of the paraphernalia required by the GreenPower Club, who are building and racing an electric car.
All our parents are very welcome to get involved with the Friends, whether your contribution of time can be a lot, or just a little. It is a great way to get to know other parents and get involved in the school. If you are interested in finding out more.
