At Farnborough Hill, there are so, so many opportunities to be extra. To step away from academic study and learn skills such as teamwork, resilience and problem-solving through an incredible and ever-expanding list of clubs and activities, that aren’t necessarily related to classroom learning but are there purely and simply for enjoyment and enrichment.

Broadly split into three categories of Co-, Extra- and Super-, girls are encouraged to embrace it all! All of our 'beyond the classroom' opportunities enhance our girls’ soft skills, give them greater confidence in their subject abilities and build critical thinking and analytical skills, allowing them to be, well, fulfilled!

Co-Curricular clubs are those clinics and subject-specific clubs which sit alongside the curriculum, complementing what pupils learn in the classroom, offering stretch and extension to taught subjects, and rounding the curriculum nicely.

Extra-curricular clubs are all the extras you’d expect from a school that educates the whole person. There are a positive riot of them on the agenda at Farnborough Hill - the SOCs calendar is packed with offerings to allow girls to explore new things or flame an existing passion. Sport, Music, Drama, DofE, Young Enterprise... Book Clubs, Creative Clubs, Game Clubs... if it is feasible, we'll run it!

And, finally, the Super-Curriculum takes pupils beyond what they have learned in the classroom, giving them opportunity to apply their in-classroom knowledge to new situations and real-world scenarios.

The Super-Curriculum here includes the Higher and Extended Project Qualifications, Greek, MFL and Further Maths additional GCSEs, ThinkTank and the Empower Programme, plus many more! Some of our super-curriculum is built into the girls’ timetables at different stages in their journey, while other aspects are run at lunch and after school.
