Recently, the Lower Sixth were joined by Steve Kirkham for a workshop on Physical Theatre, and were joined by students from Salesian College, Farnborough.

While the School Productions are the pinnacle of the co-curricular Drama calendar, there are plenty of other opportunities to get involved throughout the school year. From Years 8 and 9 Improv Club to LAMDA qualifications, the Technical Theatre Enrichment programme and trips to see live theatre, there is always a buzz in the studio as a love of performance and production is fostered in the pupils; not just those studying GCSE or A level Drama.

In this production, we have been interested in exploring archetypes, as archetypes are thoughts that shape our world. Odysseus may be courageous, wise, strong and a beloved leader, but he is also a murderer, an adulterer, and taker of crazy risk and we wondered if there was a way to look at the character from a different angle.
ISA Monologue Winners were treated to a trip to Mary Arden's Farm, Wilmcote, and given the opportunity to participate in a Drama workshop hosted by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
