This is a term time only role (34 weeks of the year only) with no regular weekend working. The hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 06.30 am to 2.30 pm, including a 30-minute break.

These are the core hours, however, given the nature of a School there may be times when additional hours are available. Compensating time off or additional pay will be provided; as appropriate.

We offer a competitive salary (£19,340.41), contributory pension scheme, Death in Service cover, on-site parking, free lunch, uniform, and a remission of fees for a daughter attending the school.

All staff are expected to be in sympathy with and supportive of the ethos of the School as set out in our Mission Statement.  They are expected to be committed to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children and young people.

All applicants will be subject to Enhanced DBS clearance. Enquiries and completed application forms should be sent for the attention of Rachel Barraud, Facilities Manager, on [email protected]

Please apply as soon as possible as applications will be considered upon receipt; we reserve the right to interview/appoint before the closing date.

      School Lay Chaplain

      Required from September 2026

Farnborough Hill is looking for an exceptional Chaplain who will be a central figure in the life of the School, nurturing faith and Gospel values across the many strands which make up our community. Excellent pastoral skills are imperative, to support both pupils and staff, alongside the vision to take forward the strategic development of Chaplaincy at Farnborough Hill. This is an opportunity to work in a highly-regarded and successful girls' independent school with motivated pupils and a very supportive ethos.

The role is part-time but could be combined with a teaching role, should a suitable subject vacancy be available. It is a genuine occupational requirement of the post that our Chaplain is a practising Roman Catholic.

The successful candidate should be prepared to play a full role in the life of the School and be able to offer a contribution to the co-curricular programme.

Salary according to qualifications and experience on Farnborough Hill’s own generous pay scale, contributory pension scheme, ‘Death in Service’ cover (four times salary paid to next of kin as a lump sum), on-site parking, and a remission of fees for a daughter attending the school (in line with the current policy, subject to the usual standards and procedures for admission).

If you require any further information about this post or the School please telephone Mrs Melanie Clark, the Headmistress’s PA, in the first instance, on 01252 545197.
