Farnborough Hill is delighted to celebrate the outstanding success of our talented artists in the prestigious ISA Art Competition 2025.

Isabelle S took first place in the KS4 Textiles category with her breathtaking coral surface design.  Created as part of her GCSE course, her incredible use of multi-layered texture and colour resulted in a gloriously tactile and vibrant creation which impressed the judges and secured a well-deserved win.

In the KS4 Fashion category, Emmie G was awarded second place for her innovative and thought-provoking spinal cord neck piece, which showcased both creativity and craftsmanship (not to mention being absolutely beautiful and intricate!).

Also earning second place, Alice F wowed the panel in the KS4 Ceramics category with her emotive and powerful body sculpture, a piece that resonated deeply with the judges and which was created during the first half of her two-year GCSE course, when only in Year 10. The maturity and emotion of the piece is beyond her years and a testament to her incredible skills with clay.

Head of Art, Denise Brennan, commented:

“It has been a joy to see the girls push the boundaries of their creativity and bring such ambitious ideas to life. Each of these pieces is a testament to their hard work, vision, and dedication.”

Headmistress, Maria Young, added:

“I am thrilled for our artists to have their work recognised on a public stage. The girls here are encouraged to push creative boundaries and are supported to think big, resulting in the most beautiful and detailed creations.”

Beyond the ISA competition, we are also very pleased to announce that sixth former Alyssa M has been long-listed for the GSA Photography Competition for her stunning series capturing the grace and dynamism of dancers. We await the final results with bated breath and wish her the very best of luck.

These achievements reflect not only the individual creativity and dedication of our pupils but also the strength of the Arts at Farnborough Hill. Housed in the beautifully quirky former stable block, the studios are a haven of creativity and imagination, with talented teachers guiding the pupils to master new techniques and be bold with their approach to their artistry.

Congratulations to all involved – we are incredibly proud of you!
