After a busy Assessment Week, the Year 10 girls have enjoyed a taste of what awaits them in sixth form on the hill. Their two-day taster experience has given them a good understanding of the academic, social and personal development opportunities available to them.
Time has been spent with current Sixth Form girls who have shared their personal experiences, on everything from A levels to enrichment activities. The girls have also benefited from a session about UCAS explaining how university applications work. In addition, Year 10 have rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in with RE-Act and learned all about the various charity and community projects undertaken by the Lower Sixth, hopefully sparking ideas for their own contributions in future.
The Lafosse Sixth Form Centre was their base, a social hub, where girls could share their free periods and eat cookies - all real 'typical' parts of Sixth Form life!
Having experienced the academic opportunities, friendly ethos and all of the enrichment options available to them as part of sixth form on the hill, Year 10 can look forward to what comes next!
